Bought for Father's birthday gift
My father received this flashlight and was almost dumbfounded by the size of it. He thought it was gonna be one of those gimmicky flashlights that are super big and boast a high lumen, but boy was he wrong! We charged it up and turned it on after dark in our field and it lit up half of it! 10/10 do recommend if you have some extra spending money!
Wake Me Up Inside X21R
I'm no stranger to Led Lenser lights. Usually I would buy the penlight or tactical sized ones and be happy with how they performed. Well I seen a picture of the first X21 online and was like oh yeah thats a big light who cares and it seemed to cost a lot at $500 back in the day. That was for the maybe 1600 lumen version running on 4 alkaline D batteries. Then I seen a video with the Wake Me Up Inside song featuring the Led Lenser X21. The first lights are as you expect and then the star of the show X21 illuminates everything in flood mode. Like it is as bright as day! When you are like well this can't be any better it gets focused to a very bright spot light. I showed some of my friends that cared about lights and they were amazed. I didn't get one right away but when I finally found one on sale it lived up to what the video said it did. That however wasn't enough for the two German brothers. They made it brighter and added a rechargable battery. I now have this latest model. It is even better than the original X21. Not only is it 5000 lumens and rechargable but it has a power indicator on the bottom. Make sure you have it on full power before checking the levels for a more accurate reading. And when it comes to charging there is a nice magnetic charging system that you can mount your light to but it is optional. There are now antiroll rubber caps that protect the light from being dropped. You should treat it like a baby or a fine camera because of the lense system. I learned the hard way on my first model. If you are using this for search and rescue they sell spare battery tubes so you can work longer at high power. The price may seem high but when you turn it on at night outside and actually use it is understandable.
